Amazon Relocation

Moving 1 BR apartment from CT to TX.  quote was 1500$ and 5-7 days door to door. Actual price was 2100$ and it took 24 days to arrive. Pickup was on time  but they made sure to schedual it at the last possible time so they could jack up the price and I wouldn't have time to find anyone else. When the seven day mark arrived and I called to find where my stuff was, I was told it had yet to leave their NY warehouse. The dispatcher had no idea where the 5-7 day estimate had come from that the sales guy gave me, as he said that they usually give 5-10 day travel time estimate once it leaves the warehouse. So basically they have no idea how long it is going to take, and the sales guy just straight up lied to me. Tried to contact the sales guy but he was always "busy" and would call me back, but never did. After about 9 days it finally got contracted out and put on a truck, which then took 15 days to make it down here.  Only good factor was that nothing was stolen or broken, which is a miracle. .

I had an excellent experience with Amazon Relocation. I  was initially interested because of their great reviews and the extremely reasonable price they quoted - less than half most other vendors ' estimates. I did see a few lower quotes, but all from companies with one-star reviews that mentioned lost and broken belongings, fraud, and vanishing shipments. Given that, I decided to go with Amazon Relocation. Amazon Relocation's customer service was great too, from patiently answering all my questions to checking in with me regularly during the actual haul to let me know where my stuff was en route. The movers from Amazon Relocation were on time, courteous and respectful of my belongings (thank you!!). They swiftly packed me up and off they went. Amazon Relocation was pretty spot on with delivery date and timing too! Worked out perfectly. If you're looking for a reliable, respectful and on -time moving company look no further! Very impressed with this cross-country move, would use them again in a heartbeat!

I was initially quoted a price around $1300 to move from Philadelphia to the San Francisco area. After the company had packed my belongings, they told me it was twice as much as they had expected and therefore I owed them twice as much. While annoying and bordering on dishonest, I decided that I did not want to fight with them and paid them what they asked for. In addition to the quoted price, they told me that they would pick up on the May 13th and deliver on the 18th. The day of the 18th I called to find out when they would be there and was told, "I don't know and won't be able to tell you until Monday" (the 21st). When I called on Monday, to my shock and dismay, I was told that my belongings had not left their facility and they could not tell me when they would. Today (Tuesday, the 22nd), I was told that my belongings would not leave the facility until Friday the 25th and would not arrive until "maybe" the next Friday, June 1st. This is a full 21 days after I was told that the drop off would be and 28 days after pick up! To say that I am emotionally distraught is an understatement. This company, who has repeatedly lied to me and acted in bad faith is currently in control of everything that I own in the world. .

I did thorough research to move specific items from my parents home to my home.  These items were heirlooms as well as something built by my father.  I was worried about how the delivery would be & was very satisfied on how everything was package to avoid damage.  Everything arrived on time & they put everything together & placed it where it needed to go.  Jacob Y. was absolutely fantastic giving me any updates & answering any questions I might have through out the process.  He was right when he stated I wasn't a customer but a friend.   Very out-going & fantastic company.  I would highly recommend their services.  Very professional & bottom line, taking care of their customer's needs.

My foremans name for this job was Rico. At first he seemed to be very pleasant until it got later in the night. The movers finished packing my things at 2am and were in a rush to go home. The arrived at my home at 4pm and expected to be finished by 9. They claimed to have "excellent" packing service, well let me just tell you, most of my things came here broken. To top it all off, all of my dishes were just gone along with the silverware and they somehome misplaced my defibulator monitor. I have been calling them to contact the "insurance" on my things but no one ever answers, next move sue them. My doctor can't keep track of what's going on with my heart without that monitor. I would suggest if they call you RUN!! It now has more to do with my life at this point and they just aren't worth it. Oh yeah, they pulled the old switcheroo with me also, Rico said I was getting a "discount" and than took 600 of said "discoun't". When I asked him how I was supposed to live. Stay far away from these guys. They cheat!

I recently moved from NYC to Jersey City and for the first time I hired a moving service, and it was worth every penny. They packed and loaded fasty and delivered all of my beloved stuff in one piece. I was mostly worried about the price, but their quote was the lowest I got. I was afraid that if I pay cheap I'd pay twice but nothing of the horror stories I've heard about movers came to life. So, overall I'd like to recommend using Amazon Relocation moving services.

Service cost: $1200

I was quoted a binding estimate by Jacob.  I later called him back to ask for a quote as opposed to the estimate.  Jacob advised me via email that "binding estimate" was what my final cost was going to be-guaranteed.  No true it was double but once I belongings were put on the truck I was advised that it would be a fee to take them off of the truck, so I went with it.  I was told that it would be 3-5 days from pickup date but on the contract the time was anytime within a months span.  On the 5th day I called and was told there was a delay and that I would received my belongins Friday, the latest Saturday.  My things arrived on Sunday.  Boxes were damaged.  Furniture was damaged, nicked and scraps on all, floor lamp was not rapped and is completely broken and to top it all off..Somehow ROACHES CAME CRAWLING OUT OF SEVERAL BOXES.  I don't know if the truck had roaches or another persons boxes contained roaches.  I have to now have my new home exterminated.  I will never use AMAZON RELOCATION again!!

Worst moving experience ever!!  Just as every other negative review, Jacob low balls you into an estimate in the beginning. Once you book them they show up and explain you have more items than you mentioned and as soon as they take your stuff there will be "unexpected delays" and you will not get your stuff until up to 21 days later. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY> They SCAM every customer they happen to get and lure you in with a fake estimate lower than anyone else quotes you. They also only exceot cash on delivery or thy will not unload your items. They use third party delivery trucks. For example..I moved from New York to Florida and the delivery guys were from LA. They will not ship your items until they have a full 18 wheeler truvk to make it worth their effort. They scam EVERYONE that uses them. Any postive review on them has been posted by an employee of Amazon relocation. They are fake. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!! I hope this review warns people away who so they do not continue to do this to innocent customers and steal your money. I filed a coplaint with teh BBB and got no where.

Service: I booked my cross-town move last minute with Amazon.  An energetic crew led by Avi arrived promptly and had our entire apartment packed and loaded in under 2 hours.  Delivery took about the same amount of time even though the truck had to be parked around the block and items moved from there.  Very efficient, under 6 hours total to move across Brooklyn.  Crewmembers conducted themselves professionally and courteously.   Items: By "packed," I mean the crewmembers themselves packed 65% of our stuff for us because we ran out of boxes the night before the move.  Everything from dishes to furniture was properly packed and arrived in good condition.  Disassembled items were properly re-assembled.   Pricing: Price was as-quoted.  A tip request was made and honored.      Overall: Good service, no BS. I would definitely use Amazon Relocation again.  .

Have moved from CT to FL 2 weeks back, have used Amazon relocation for shipping my item. have faced lot of issues and paid more money in addition to the billed amount ($1445.50) and item delivery was delayed by  6 days  
Complaints: 1) Talking in native language during pick up
2) Dirty blanket to wrap items
3) As per the agreement 2 wardrobe box and 5 book box was free, but they used 1 wardrobe box and 1 book box and they charged $10 for that book box (it was not even  necessary to use the boxes), but they never listened and filled the wardrobe box with sofa cushion which was unnecessary.
4) They wanted to use additional boxes too , but when we said it was not necessary they mishandled the items.
5) Initially during the quote till I book my order Jacob (Amazon relocation representative) agreed for whatever we have discussed like total cubic feet ,the items should be delivered on 06/30 etc.  But i'm unhappy with the way Jacob spoke to me in phone during the time of the pickup and delivery. he used the words like "if you want you can take your items  back"this is not the way to talk to customer after the item was loaded into a truck. 
6) have called Jacob many times on 06/30 for the delivery but he said it will take more than 4 days after the committed delivery date which adverently increased my expenditure.
7) Amazon driver (Amit) called me on 07/05 and he commanded me to go to U-haul store and book a truck in my name for delivery. he said if I doesn't do it he wont  deliver it on 07/04 and it will take one month to deliver my goods. 
8) Since I haven't had a car I booked a cab from my apt and went to U-Haul store which cost me $40.After I returned my truck around 01:00 AM , have booked a CAB for return from U-Haul to my house which cost me $50.
9) Amit told me that he will come to U-Haul by 6 PM but he came only by 8.30 PM. he made me to wait alone in front of the store for more than two hours.
10) while waiting I called him to check where he was coming at some extent he used abusive language.
11) after they loaded the truck in U-haul warehouse they have asked me to drive that U-Haul truck from the warehouse to my house , inspite of paying amount have to do their work as well which is totally unacceptable.
12) he didn't have GPS and i'm new to Florida. when I told this he started yelling me at night, I don't know how to react and was afraid my life was in danger as I was alone didn't say anything drove using i-phone. Missed the exit twice and after 45 mins have reached home.
13) After we reached home at 11:30 PM , they demanded $150 and they will not move an inch unless we pay the amount immediately. this is not the way to behave with a customer at the lately hour.
14) After we paid they started moving things which he initially said not possible to get things into the house. it strange how money works in Amazon relocation !!
15) While moving the things Amazon workers used abusive language at me. when I asked about this he said he was talking to his counterpart but at that time his counterpart was in 1st floor. wondering how murmur reach 1st floor i'm sure that he was yelling at me. Totally unbelievable behavior towards a customer.
16) All the items were dirty and smelly , it was biggest mistake in choosing Amazon relocation for moving my items.
17) After delivered the items , have called Amit and asked him to pay for U-Haul , but he said "this is what we do for customer. ENJOY , you can do whatever you want"
18) Again I called Jacob , he doesn't want to listen, he said he will talk to driver after couple of days and update me. But I never hear back from him till now.
19) First of all things should not be delivered at late night which is inconvenient for any customer 01:00 AM delivery time is totally unearthly and not acceptable.
20) Amazon driver (Amit) didn't gave me insurance paper. when I asked him around 01:00 AM he shouted and left the U-haul warehouse.
21) By choosing Amazon relocation, loss of time , money , more headaches, put my life in danger in addition to this lost of peace of mind. they have given me more tension , pressure. I want no one to face this issues in their life especially with this mover. I will not suggest this mover to any of my friends.  
Damage and Overpaid:
1) Table top was torned and it was very dirty - (Claim amount : $50)  
2) Suitcase handle and wheel was broken (Claim amount : $25)
3) It was new trash can and it has been cracked in many places at the bottom and scratched all over. (Claim amount : $25)
4) our items was only less than 300 cubic feet we have measured it personally. but amazon relocation folks loaded  items in truck in such a way to increase the cubic    feet to 450 and they didn't allow us to look into the truck when they were loading. After they loaded they blocked everything with a bed and we didn't know how things were arranged. due to which we paid additional $448.50 (Claim amount : $448.50).
5) Have already all my items in a well covered boxes and taped it as well. but they unnecessarily used their packing items and they charged me $25 (Claim amount : $25).
6) All my original boxes (TV box, Vacuum box,Bed stand box , dora cooking set box & car seat box) were damaged during delivery. (Claim amount : $20).
7) Since I haven't had a car I booked a cab from my apt and went to U-Haul store which cost me $90 (to and fro)
8) They asked me to book a U-haul truck to get the items from their warehouse to my home for which I paid $94.83.As per the agreement Amazon relocation should deliver  the items to my home and so they should paid this cost (Claim amount : $94.83)
9) As per the agreement Amazon reloaction was supposed to deliver in 3rd floor for which I have already paid $75. But during delivery they demanded to pay additional    $150 and they threatened me that if I don't pay the amount they leave the items as is. note that it was 11:30 PM night and I don't have any option other than to pay and also they didn't gave the receipt for that. (Claim amount : $150)  
 
i don't want anyone to face the issues. I wont suggest this to anyone. Amazon relocation is the worst shipping company. please read the review throughly before go for shipping. 
 
Beware of Amazon relocations.  .

After talking to Jacob at Amazon Relocation moving company ,I was assured of a low cost professional move. Amazon movers showed up at my NY address on time and worked quickly to load my items into the truck. I was moving to Florida and didn't have an immediate address, so Amazon agreed to store my property for the first month without a charge. Once I found an apt in Florida, I contacted Jacob and my property was on the next truck bound for the sunshine state.The driver of this truck called me ahead of time to confirm the delivery window and showed up on schedule as promised. The driver did a fantastic job of backing his long delivery truck right up to my front door without incident. The whole process of moving is a stressful one at best, but the guys from Amazon came through and made the whole thing easy.

I recently used Amazon Relocation for a move in the Bronx.

For starters the crew was on time and very professional. I elected to go with a flate rate to avoid extra unknown charges. All moving material was included. The crew assisted in packing and took care to cover furniture and personal belongings. The price for the move was aproximately $850.00 for a one bedroom apartment.

With every move one can expect minor damage, even with the most carefull of crews. As was the case a bookself and glass piece were damaged, but overall I would not hesitate to call Amazon Relocation on my next move.

A bit of advice: since packing materials are included in the flat rate be sure to get the packing material in advance so you can begin to pack fragile items before the move starts. Mark all boxes and have a plan for the movers to follow.

First of all i'm happy that I chose that company.They gave me very reasonable price and move me the same day.
Morning 9 o'clock as I asked before, movers show up on time. These people must go through some kind of moving boot camp because there moving abilities are exquisite. they did everything so fast that I was forced them to take a brake! They are very polite and very communicate!
I highly recommend Amazon Relocation as a professional and experienced company ! ! !

In January, I moved from PA back home to Hudson, WI. Moving is such a pain, that this time I decided to use a moving company. (I wish I would have done this the first move). I found Amazon Relocation, and from our first contact with Dan it was a great experience. My wife and I were really nervous about the cost, and if all belongings would be destroyed, or even show up in WI. There was never a need to worry. Our stuff arrived on time, and undamaged. Daniel E. was very helpful, and very professional. I usually will not leave a review, but in this case I really felt it was necessary. Overall great experience, with no headache.

I have moved dozens of times in my life. Amazon Relocation is by far the worst experience I have ever had. Their final charge was three times their "binding estimate", they were 2 1/2 weeks late in their delivery and repeatedly lied to me about the reasons behind their delay. They were often non-responsive to my calls and emails regarding the delay. Most importantly, they damaged numerous items including expensive musical instruments and household items, and "lost" a very valuable and rare guitar of mine. They had little interest in finding a solution to these issues. A large percentage of the boxes arrived crushed or damaged. After they agreed to give me a $400 reduction in the charge, they made me sign a complete release and waiver rights before they would unload the truck..I simply had no choice. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Bottom line..they are untrustworthy, dishonest and incompetent at best, and probably worse than that. Do not use!

They are AWFUL!!
The cost has doubled. The pick up guys asked for 300 bucks tip for 30 boxes - it's 10 bucks a box. Those guys went on and on about how they deserved the tip. Literally, they spent at least 30 minutes asking for it.
They said it would take 10 days (they didn't say 10 business days), but it took 16 days. When I called them and asked where my stuff was, the guy was so rude and told me he didn't know, and just gave me the driver's number. We called the driver and he said he would call me back, and of course, he never did. When I called him again, he said he needed another 300 bucks because the street was too narrow to use the big truck. The binding contract should include this type of situation, or not? Otherwise, why do they call it "binding"? What kind of service is this? NEVER USE THEM!!

My husband and I have been given a great opportunity. We have been struggling and barely making it, like most of America. My husband has been given a awesome job opportunity, however it requires us to relocate to another state. So with hardly any funds, we decided to put our trust into Amazon Relocators. We were given an estimate of 1100 for a one bedroom loft sized house. Appropriately 500 cu ft. That is a great price for that move so we jumped on it. Our representative made it sound as if every thing we wanted would be covered. However with closer examination, I found that wouldn't be the truth even closely. They were really charging us for 29 items. Our kitchen table and 4 chairs were 5 items alone, so we would reach 29 items in no time. So in reality the move would have ended up being around 4500. What a difference in the price, while in the mean time we are on a budget and didn't have the difference, so that would have put us in an awful situation. Thank God something told me to check everything out a little closer, so please check them out if you happen to come across them.
